iCan 4 iPads
Fundraiser 2016

- 5K Run / Walk - 10k Cycle - OR - 10k Kayak -
October 1, 2016 - Savannah Rapids Park

iCan 4 iPads is an annual fundraiser for adults in our community with cognitive and communication challenges. Last year’s event was fun and successful, and we hope to do even better in our third year! We have two objectives with this event: First, we hope to inform others about the ways in which iPad technology can help adults with disabilities in our community. Second, we hope to raise funds to purchase as many iPads as possible and distribute them, with training, to deserving, adult applicants with disabilities carefully selected by a qualified panel. The iPad is a much more cost-effective learning tool than many of the other alternative communication devices on the market; the wide variety of applications available will help adults with cognitive and communication challenges develop skills to allow them to be more independent in the community.

We will be hosting three events at the Savannah Rapids Park on October 1,2016, between 8am and 1pm. Participants may register for any of the three fun events (or two, if you feel spry). The 5K Run/Walk; 10k Cycle; 10k Kayak; 5K Run/Walk & 10k Cycle; OR 5K Run/Walk & 10k Kayak!! This presents a great opportunity for you to contribute to the local, CSRA community and support people in need. Please participate, donate, or join as a commercial sponsor.

Even if you do not choose to participate in the races, there will be local businesses and organizations at the Savannah Rapids event site, so come on out and join us on Saturday, October 1, 2016!
